📘 Tell Me About The 96-Hour Course
To become a licensed real estate salesperson in Kentucky, the very first step is to complete a 96-hour pre-licensing course approved by the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC) and Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education (KPCE). Whether you choose self-paced online, in-person, or virtual with a live instructor, the minimum required hours are the same.

🧠 What Happens During the 96-Hour Course?
Over the course of 96 hours, you will dive deep into the foundational knowledge needed to become a licensed real estate professional in Kentucky. The course is designed to set you up for success — not just to pass the test, but to confidently begin your successful career.
Here is what you can expect:
📚 You will:
• Go through content from at least two textbooks or sets of learning materials (National content + Kentucky Real Estate Law)
• Review key topics like Real Estate Principles, Agency, Ethics, Contracts, Financing, Valuation, and Fair Housing. This is just to name a few.
• Explore quizzes, activities, and discussions (depending on course format)
• Complete a final/exit exam to review and reinforce your knowledge.

🎓 Course Format Options
There are several accredited schools in Kentucky. While all cover the same required topics, each school offers its own schedule, materials, and class policies. Be sure to choose the format that works best for your lifestyle.
There are 3 options to select from that include:
1. On-Demand (Independent Study) – Learn on your own time, at your own pace. No live instructor.
2. Face-to-Face – In-person learning at a physical location with a set class schedule.
3. Virtual (Live Instructor) – Attend the scheduled live sessions online from wherever you are with a strong internet connection & a device with a camera and microphone.
📅 Attendance & Make-Up Policy
Be prepared to complete all 96 hours of instruction — it is a must to receive your course completion certificate, which is required before scheduling your PSI state licensing exam.
If you miss class time, whether it's 30 minutes or several hours:
• You are responsible for the time and content missed.
• Contact your instructor or school immediately to discuss your make-up options.
• Schools will share their specific policies, including deadlines for make-up hours (usually before the final exam).

The Final Exam: What It Means for You
The final course exam is a required component of Kentucky’s 96-hour pre-licensing real estate course. This exam is:
Required by the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC)
Designed to evaluate your understanding of all required pre-licensing topics
Necessary to earn your certificate of completion, which is required before you can schedule the Kentucky state licensing exam
Once you pass the course final exam:
